More About The Masters Darts - A Brand New Elite Darts Championship

This highly anticipated event will see the sport return to the Royal Highland Centre for the first time since 2009. Tipped to become one of the most prestigious contests of its kind, the tournament allows only those players skilled enough to be in the Top 16 to qualify to fight it out for the title. This elite group will be decided upon during the PDC Order of Merit, following the Players Championship in October.

Its tough qualifiers mean that spectators can look forward to three days of top-notch matches, with world champion Phil Taylor, Premier League Darts champion Michael van Gerwen, European champion Adrian Lewis and former UK Open champion Robert Thornton all set to defend their reputations and show off their precision skills. The event looks to compliment Scotland's already rich history in the sport, with eight first round matches taking place on the Friday, four quarter-finals on the Saturday and semi-finals and finals finishing off the tournament on the Sunday when the overall champion will be decided.
