The Enemy Biography - Hear It's Automatic Live For the Last Time
Coventry trio Liam Watts, Andy Hopkins and Tom Clarke arrived on the scene as fresh faced teenagers, coming together at just 16 years of age. After signing with indie label Stiff Records, the band cut their first album We'll Live and Die in These Towns in 2007, which went straight to the top of the charts, receiving rave reviews from the British press. Their sound was influenced by greats like Oasis and The Jam, giving fans an unflinching portrayal of life in the UK - not least in singles 'Away From Here' and 'We'll Live and Die in These Towns'.
With national recognition earned, they performed on the main stage at Reading and Leeds in 2008 and opened for The Rolling Stones on tour. 2009 brought the release of sophomore LP Music For the People, which spawned singles 'No Time for Tears', 'Sing When You're in Love' and 'Be Somebody'. Third album Streets in the Sky once again broke the top ten, and showed a definite progression . The trio's final album, It's Automatic, may be their most contemporary and heartfelt record of all - a fitting end to a phenomenal career.
