The Compozers Tickets

A collective of four musical consultants, arrangers and producers, the Compozers is made up of spirited artists who all have a history of success as individuals before coming together as a single entity. The group is based in the UK's capital and was founded in 2008. The four operate in a number of different musical styles but always convey their own particular brand of gospel, no matter which genre or multiple styles they happen to be performing in. The Compozers have been involved in several well-known gospel events. They have taken part in events such as Get Connected, for example, as well as Healing Waters. They have also performed for a variety of popular artists, such as Rita Ora, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran, to name but three, often opening shows for high profile acts or providing gospel sounds to back them on certain tracks.

The Compozers' gospel mission

Despite operating in styles like jazz fusion with ease, the Compozers are mostly associated with their powerful gospel arrangements. The four have gone on record as stating that they are attempting to broaden the audience for gospel music in the country. The Compozers go about achieving this by producing a sound that breaks away from those made by other gospel groups. Essentially, the four generate new blends between traditional gospel vocal arrangements and other genres of music.

The Compozers' members

The Compozers is made up of Charles 'Biggz' Mensah, Nana 'Pokes' Ntorinkansah, Steven 'Drummerboy SJ' Gaman and David 'Melody' Akrazz. Akrazz joined the group in 2010 and plays traditional keyboards and the keytar. Mensah is known for his keyboard skills, too, while Ntorinkansah and Gaman make up the rhythm section. Each of the members claims that they share the same collective vision – to change musical history. The four-piece cites many artists as being inspirational. These range from the likes of Yellow Jacket to Justice League, and from performers such as Justin Timberlake to Pat Thomas.

The Compozers' career

The Compozers are well known for their gigs in the capital. They have taken to the stage at some fairly big venues, such as the IndigO2 and the O2 Forum in Kentish Town. The group has also appeared at high profile events, such as the BBC Hackney's Weekend. The group is unsigned as of 2017, but release their music independently with a high degree of success. Tracks such as “No-One Else Like You”, in which they created a jazz and gospel fusion sound, have been very well received through online releases and social media.
