Steven Wilson Biography - From Porcupine Tree to Solo Success

This progressive-rock legend made his name as frontman of the band Porcupine Tree, who formed in 1987 and have been on hiatus since 2010. The group's Kingston upon Thames-born musician kicked off his solo career in 2003, when the band was still active, releasing a series of singles featuring covers of songs by bands including Alanis Morissette and ABBA, bringing a progressive twist to classic pop songs. His first solo album, Insurgentes, came out in 2008 before he expanded his sound with Grace for Drowning, a double album he released in 2011 that was followed by Get All You Deserve, a live album and DVD that showcased his incredible skill performing live. Following 2013's The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) he released fourth album Hand. Cannot. Erase., his most critical lauded yet, in February 2015.
