Pendulum Tickets

Originally from Perth in Western Australia, Pendulum is a drum 'n' bass and electronic rock fusion band that was formed by Rob Swire, Paul Harding and Gareth McGrillen in 2002. Further members, such as Ben Mount and KJ Sawka, were added to the line-up later. Swire and McGrillen are also noted for their work as an electro house duo. Pendulum’s sound is hard to pin down because it takes two traditionally different strands of popular music and fuses them together. Hard rock fans often enjoy the group’s powerful riffs and pile-driving rhythm section, while electronica devotees are catered for by the band’s use of samples and audio effects. Pendulum's bio

Pendulum relocated from Australia to the UK in 2003, where they set to work on their debut studio release, an album that would end up being called Hold Your Colour. This LP hit the shelves in 2005 and it was an instant hit with fans of their distinctive style, as well as many journalists in the music press. Hold Your Colour was predominantly interpreted as a drum 'n' bass album with elements of rock. It was re-released in 2007 by the Breakbeat Kaos label. The dance music elements on the work were often created in collaborations with artists such as DJ Fresh and MC $pyda. However, heavy guitars were a big feature, too, with guest contributions from the likes of Karnivool and Concord Dawn, among others. The album got to number 29 in the UK and number 40 in the band members’ home country.

In Silico followed in 2008, made after the band has signed to the Warner Brothers label, Atlantic Records. Including elements of hardcore and industrial rock, the album got to a high of number two in the UK album charts. Various tracks from the album appeared in other media, such as “Granite”, which was used in a video game of the time, for example.

In 2010, Pendulum returned with Immersion. The album spawned four singles, “Watercolour”, “Witchcraft”, “The Island” and “Crush”. The LP got the band to the prestigious number one spot in the UK album charts when it first came out. Mastered in Los Angeles by Brian Gardner, the album is also notable for its use of collaborations with other artists. The Swedish death metal outfit In Flames features on it, as does Liam Howlett, best known for his work with the Prodigy.

A new album was announced by Swire in 2013, although this failed to appear when he said it would. The founding members of Pendulum subsequently claimed to have moved on from the musical project.
