Old high school friends Ryan Tedder and Zach Filkins formed One Republic after reuniting post-college and reigniting their dreams of fronting their own band. In the initial stages of their career, One Republic's success was largely propelled by social media platform MySpace, where the band became the number one unsigned act. Their MySpace fame couldn't fail to catch the attention of major music producers, including Timbaland, and they were signed to his Mosley Music Group in 2007.
