Four Year Strong Biography - The Masters from Massachusetts

Hailing from Massachusetts, the band formed in 2001 around the nucleus of Dan O'Connor, Alan Day, Joe Weiss and Jackson Massucco, plus Josh Lyford, who would go on to leave the set-up. Their debut album was an extremely limited release, with only 400 copies made, then their 2007 follow-up Rise or Die Trying really kicked things up a notch, earning them a record deal with Decaydance Records. They then moved into cover versions, with their Explains It All album seeing guest appearances from the likes of Gym Class Heroes' Travis McCoy and Less Than Jake.

Earning more and more fans, they moved to the Universal Motown Records label for their third album, Enemy Of The World, before they ditched their synth sound for a new, rockier direction. 2011's In Some Way, Shape or Form followed, paving the way for the stunning Go Down in History EP to mark their resurgence in 2014. With a new full-length album in the pipeline for 2015, they're back to their best and are raring to be able to show it on stage.
