Pop punk legends and award winning musicians Fall Out Boy are back; teasing out big news across social media with their globally trending hashtag #isMANIAdoneyet, Uthe US rockers have announced a new single, new album, and new tour.

Fall out Boy: Chicago rockers back with seventh studio album Mania

After brief stints in the Chicago hardcore scene, Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman came together to form a band to lead the emerging emo-pop movement in the early 2000s. Their first official album From Under the Cork Tree was released in 2005 to great critical acclaim, with singles like "Sugar, We're Goin' Down" and "Dance, Dance" securing the band a nomination at the Grammys for Best New Artist. Wentz quickly became a tabloid favourite, after his marriage to Ashley Simpson and frankness about a battle with depression. The group's second album, Infinity On High, was released in 2007 with singles "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" displaying a '90s punk influence.

Side projects included clothing lines, record labels and even TV shows, with Wentz and Stump claiming a Guinness World Record for the most interviews conducted in 24 hours after the release of their fourth LP Folie a Deux in 2008. In 2009, they joined Blink-182 as support for their reunion tour but shortly afterwards shocked fans with the announcement that they were taking a break – albeit with promise of a quick return. Fortunately, the band were true to their word, regrouping in 2013 to begin writing new material. That led to the release of new album American Beauty/American Psycho in late 2014, which many critics are hailing as their very best work yet.
