Welcome back to the 90s everyone!

Everyone You Know is comprised of brothers Harvey Kirkby and Rhys Kirkby-Cox. Born and raised in the concrete blocks of London's outer edges, the pair turned to music for inspiration, soaking in everything they could come across. They became particularly enraptured by the hip hop of the 90s, from the Wu-Tang Clan to Outkast, fell in love with the Jungle beats of Shy FX and were obsessed with Punk, mostly thanks to their Dad, a huge music fan that showed them the ropes. Once they decided to make their own music, all these influences combined to create something truly special! They burst into the ears of unsuspecting listeners with the release of their debut single Our Generation. A pre-emptive strike before releasing their first EP, entitled Cheer Up Charlie. Connecting with the youth of today

Our Generation gave new music fans a taste of what Everyone You know are all about, and it only left them pleading for the release of more with Cheer Up Charlie. The lyrics showcased a band offering simple truths found in the ups and downs of living everyday life as a young adult, something reminiscent of early Arctic Monkeys. The video, filmed using home tapes of the young lads as well as up to date shots of them and their friends, lets viewers in to the world of young adults living life on the fringes of the big city, trying to grow up yet clinging on to their youth.
