Born Koen Jansen in Amersfoort in 1980, rapper Diggy Dex first gained attention as a member of DAC, the Dutch hip-hop collective who released two studio albums in the mid-'00s before going their separate ways. In 2006, he followed in the footsteps of former bandmates Wudstik, Grootmeester Jan and Jiggy Djé by recording a solo LP, 'Verhalen vanuit de Sofa', following it up two years later with 'Mayonaise voor de ziel'. In 2009, Diggy Dex teamed up with Eva de Roovere to record 'Slaap lekker (Fantastig toch)', a collaboration that peaked at No.2 in the Netherlands, spending 17 weeks on the chart in the process. After adding to his back catalogue with 2010's 'Lange nachten, korte dagen' and 2014's 'Do It Yourself', Diggy Dex was asked to compose the music for Lodewijk Crijns' movie 'Kankerlijers'. His fifth solo effort, 'Golven', saw him reach the Dutch Top 30 for the first time, while 2018's 'Karavaan' spawned the Top 3 single, 'De zon op'.
