While they disbanded in 1987, a reunion show in 2003 brought them back together, but it wouldn’t be until 2013 that they would reunite properly – to the delight of their fans. The group cut their teeth back in the mid 1970s when the original members, vocalist Keith Morris, guitarist Greg Ginn, bassist Chuck Kukowsi and drummer Brian Migdol formed the early band. Previously known as Panic before settling on the name Black Flag, they played their first concert at Redondo Beach, California in 1977. Not long after, Keith Morris was replaced by Henry Rollins, who would be the voice of the band. By the 1980s, they were thought to be one of the most influential punk bands of their generation, with their breakout full-length album Damaged, released in 1981, considered by Kurt Cobain and Rolling Stone as one of the greatest albums of all time.
