Growing up in small-town Napanee, Ontario left a big impression on this pint-sized popster. She started singing young and had her first taste of fame in 1999 when she won a competition to perform with country superstar Shania Twain. She darkened her sound for her second album Under My Skin in 2004, with signature power ballads 'Don't Tell Me' and 'My Happy Ending' showing a new maturity in her music.
