Arenacross sees 20 of the world's fastest Motocross riders compete in various different races in various different state of the art arenas across the United Kingdom. These include head-to-head two-lap races and a finale in which the top 12 competitors from the night's previous events all do battle to score points for the overall ArenaCross Championship. Alongside the high-octane competitive races, spectators can also look forward to three separate Freestyle MX displays in which riders fly up to 60 feet in the air, often gripping on to their bike with just one hand after launching off a giant ramp. And a whole host of awe-inspiring pyrotechnics, dazzling lasers, and anthemic tunes ensure that audiences are thoroughly entertained throughout the whole three-hour experience, which caps off with the winner being sprayed with champagne. More than 2,500 tons of dirt is used in the space of just 24 hours by a team of expert dirt sculptors to create the perfect racetrack at each Arenacross event. Professional riders include Americans Nick Schmidt, Cole Martinez and Diogo Graca, Frenchmen Greg Aranda, Adrien Escoffier and Julien Lebeau, Portuguese Hugo Basula and German Nique Thury. But the biggest crowd roars are, of course, reserved for homegrown names such as Adam Chatfield, Jack Brunel, Joe Clayton, Matt Bayliss, and Ashley Greedy. But it's not just the professionals who get to showcase their skills on the track. Riders as young as seven are given the chance to compete on the same course in special youth races, while several future Freestyle MX idols also make an appearance.
